Electromagnetic Door Closers

Electromagnetic door closers are designed to ensure that public buildings offer access to disabled users whilst complying with fire door regulations. Often these are needed in buildings such as schools, hospitals, shopping centres, universities and public libraries.

We offer two brands of electromagnetic door closer: Boss Door Controls & Rutland.

They are both suitable for doors which are under 80kg in weight and 1100mm in width.

What functions do electromagnetic door closers have?

You can set the door closers to both “hold open” and “swing free” functions, depending on the desired usage. We recommend having the door closer on “hold-open mode” in corridors and “swing-free mode” in room doors.

Fire ratings:

The Rutland Responder24 door closers are suitable for FD30 and FD60 doors.
The Boss TS7004 door closers can be fitted to FD30, FD60, FD90 and FD120 doors.
They have both been tested in accordance with EN1634.
